Fiber Sales Engineer (NC)

Location: Charlotte, NC
We are currently recruiting for a Fiber Sales Engineer in the NC area supporting Charlotte and Raleigh field offices.  Our client is a high profile company in the wireless telecommunications arena providing an exceptional and rewarding compensation package for the right individual. The ideal candidate will be local to the NC area.

The Fiber Sales Engineer should have previous hands on experience with OSP/ISP, Fiber and Copper.  He/She should also have experience working through engineering projects and understand the depth and breadth of scopes of work required for this line of work. He or She will be responsible for actively driving and managing the technology evaluation stage of the sales process, gathering customer inputs and requirements, working in conjunction with the Sales Account Managers as the key technical advisor and product advocate for all products and services.  The Sales Engineer must be able to articulate technology and product positioning to both business and technical users and identify all technical issues of assigned accounts to insure complete customer satisfaction through all stages of the sales process.

Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Manage and lead all technical aspects by supporting sales team with their clients
  • Implement strategy for sales to carriers with specific proposals required for network design
  • Identify and be able to engage local carrier decision makers with sales team
  • Organize and prepare proposal packages (RFIs/RFPs) for consideration of proposed deals/structures
  • Coordinate with internal resources, including sales, leasing, zoning, regulatory compliance, construction, and staff
  • Generation of sales strategies to be implemented both internally and externally for the respective region based upon local knowledge.
  • Ability to interact with clients, consultants, property owners and staff.
  • Wireless experience in OSP/ISP, Copper, Fiber, telecommunications construction and infrastructure products and services.
  • Additional experience in site acquisition, site development, construction management, zoning, sales, business development is helpful.
  • Established carrier and vendor contacts with verifiable references.

Education and/or Experience:   
  • BA/BS degree required (Engineering preferred) and/or 5+ years wireless or telco sales experience is a must.
  • Professional relationship builder with exceptional communication skills and follow-up abilities.
  • Valid driver's license required
