Site Acquisition Manager - Wireless (IL)

Sr. Site Acquisition Manager – Wireless Real Estate background
Our Wireless Services client is looking for a Site Acquisition Manager based in the Chicago, IL area for a long-term project.

The ideal candidate must be local and have experience with Wireless Site Acquisition with a heavy emphasis on zoning and permitting.

The right individual will have experience in Wireless Cell Site development, drop and swaps and relocations.  The candidate should be comfortable dealing with landlord lease negotiations within the client designated search ring area. In addition to strong lease negotiation as well as zoning and permitting experience we are looking for someone with with a strong leadership and managerial background.

Oversees site acquisitions for customer projects.

1. Oversees site acquisitions including site identification, analysis, and qualification through completion of zoning approval.
2. May have supervisory responsibilities.
3. Coordinate with project management teams to ensure sites meet customer requirements.
4. Negotiate the leasing and/or purchasing of sites.
5. Obtain all necessary permitting/zoning approval from national and local agencies.
6. Participates in special projects as required
Required Skills:
  • Write coherent routine reports and effective business letters including responses to owner lease comments and justifications for zoning applications.
  • Read and interpret documents such as title reports, leases, easements, plat maps, topography maps, zoning codes and zoning filing requirements.
  • Competently complete complex zoning applications. Draft top quality executable lease agreements. Listen, discern and resolve issues with a sense of urgency.
  • Work with landowners and landowner attorneys to finalize lease documents
  • Submit zoning filings and represent client throughout permitting process, as required
  • Fulfill various client documentation and deliverable requirements.
  • Travel as require
  • Self-direct and maintain confidentiality
  • Fluency in written and spoken English
  • Advanced knowledge and use of Microsoft suite programs (Word, Excel, Project, access and Power Point).
  • Excellent communication skills (interpersonal, oral, and written).
  • Good Leadership skills required to train and transfer knowledge to lesser experienced resources.
