Our client is looking for Project Manager for the San Ramon, CA area.
Project Description (Primary): Manage the implementation of the equipment platform on existing and new fiber networks. Additionally, the applicant may be required to assist with node and fiber design activities
Project Description (Detailed): Applicant will be required to work with multiple internal teams, local contractors, jurisdictional agencies, utility agencies, and corporate stakeholders to define and implement the equipment to enhance network capacity. The applicant should have strong communication, problem solving, documentation, and analytical skills.
Required Skills: Applicant must have proficiency with fiber optic cable installation, testing, and topology. Applicant must have proficiency with understanding construction as-built documentation, Google Earth, excel, word, power point, outlook, and OTDR / Sweep test results. Applicant will be required to travel within Northern California on an as-needed basis to meet with various agencies and verify field conditions.
Desired Skills: Wave Division Multiplexing, splicing, installation and use of fiber distribution systems and documentation, power
delivery (metered, DC), Auto CAD, negotiation, be local to the Northern California Market (60 mile radius from San Ramon). Have experience with GO95 / GO128, knowledge of node selection practices, node design requirements, and fiber design practices.
