Sr. OSP Engineer/Fiber Deployment PM - WFH, Remote in Based in Md, DE, or Central PA

We are currently recruiting a Sr. OSP Principal Engineer/Fiber Deployment PM that can hit the ground running for one of our Telecom clients.
Location Remote/WFH: WFH, Remote in MD, DE, WV, MD, PA or bordering state.
The ideal candidate will be well versed in OSP Engineering and Construction, both Aerial and Underground, and is the type of person that can hit the ground running. You will work with the Engineering and construction teams to deploy fiber within their footprint.
This position would start off as a contract position but could easily be transitioned into a Direct Hire position with our client down the road.
You should have a strong background deploying. tracking and managing full CATV/Fiber builds and should be very familiar with the aerial permitting process as well as fiber construction tracking, scheduling, and buildouts for market expansions.
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Principal Engineer/Fiber Deployment PM to join this team. You will be working on a fiber overbuild project located in highly populated urban areas. The successful candidate will collaborate with in-field engineering and construction Project Managers to ensure project timelines, budgets, materials, and deliverables are met.
In this role you’ll:
Track and Manage projects for a fiber overbuild in highly populated urban areas.
Collaborate with in-field engineering and construction Project Managers to coordinate project activities and ensure alignment with timelines, budgets, materials, and deliverables.
Develop and maintain project schedules, tracking progress, and proactively identifying and addressing any issues or delays.
Monitor project budgets and expenditures, ensuring adherence to financial constraints and optimizing the use of available resources.
Coordinate with stakeholders, including government agencies, contractors, vendors, and internal teams, to ensure smooth project execution.
Conduct regular site visits to assess project progress, identify potential risks or obstacles, and implement corrective actions as needed.
Communicate project status updates, challenges, and successes to senior management and stakeholders through reports and presentations.
Foster a collaborative and positive work environment, providing guidance and support to project team members.
What will catch our eye:
Bachelor's degree in a relevant field or equivalent practical experience.
Proven experience in project management, preferably in the telecommunications industry or related infrastructure projects.
Previous GPON experience
Strong knowledge of project management methodologies, tools, and techniques.
Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships and effectively collaborate with diverse stakeholders.
Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities, with a keen attention to detail.
Ability to adapt to changing priorities and work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
Willingness to travel to regional project sites as needed.
Compensation:
The position offers a competitive hourly rate in the range of $45-$50/hr., commensurate with qualifications and experience.
