Job Description:

Position Overview: We are seeking a talented CAD Technician/Drafter with experience in the telecommunications industry, specifically focused on cell tower, fiber optic, and civil infrastructure projects. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience in CAD drafting and design, with proficiency in AutoCAD or similar software. This is a project-based position with the opportunity to work remotely, collaborating with our team to deliver high-quality design drawings and documentation for telecommunications projects.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Generate detailed CAD drawings, plans, and layouts for cell tower, fiber optic, and civil infrastructure projects, following project specifications, engineering designs, and industry standards.
2. Collaborate with engineers, project managers, and field technicians to translate project requirements and concepts into accurate and comprehensive CAD designs and documentation.
3. Prepare site plans, elevation drawings, and construction details for cell tower installations, fiber optic cable routes, equipment locations, and associated civil works.
4. Utilize CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD, MicroStation) to create and modify drawings, incorporating design changes, revisions, and redlines as directed by project stakeholders.
5. Ensure adherence to project timelines, milestones, and deliverables, maintaining productivity and quality standards while meeting project deadlines.
6. Review design drawings and specifications for accuracy, completeness, and compliance with regulatory requirements, identifying and resolving discrepancies as needed.
7. Organize and maintain CAD files, project documentation, and drawing archives, ensuring version control and document management best practices are followed.
8. Communicate effectively with team members, clients, and vendors to clarify project requirements, address design issues, and provide technical support as necessary.
9. Stay informed about industry trends, advancements in CAD technology, and best practices in telecommunications infrastructure design, contributing to continuous improvement initiatives.
10. Adhere to company policies, procedures, and safety standards, promoting a culture of teamwork, professionalism, and excellence in all aspects of job performance.

Qualifications:

1. Associate degree or technical certificate in Computer-Aided Design (CAD), drafting, engineering technology, or related field; bachelor's degree preferred.
2. Minimum of 2 years of experience working as a CAD Technician or Draftsperson in the telecommunications industry, with exposure to cell tower, fiber optic, and civil infrastructure projects.
3. Proficiency in CAD software applications, such as AutoCAD, MicroStation, or similar tools, with a strong understanding of drafting principles, standards, and conventions.
4. Solid understanding of telecommunications infrastructure components, including cell towers, antennas, fiber optic cables, and civil site development.
5. Excellent attention to detail, accuracy, and organization, with the ability to manage multiple projects concurrently and prioritize tasks effectively.
6. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and stakeholders in a remote work environment.
7. Self-motivated and proactive approach to problem-solving, with a commitment to delivering high-quality work and meeting project deadlines.
8. Experience with remote work tools and technologies for virtual collaboration, such as video conferencing, document sharing, and project management software.

Preferred Skills:
