Level 4 Central Office Technician (San Diego, CA)

Strong management skills, supervise multiple/complex jobs and crews from start through completion and customer acceptance. Report to installation management and provide daily job status with pictures to project management. Assist in the training and development of Level 1, 2 & 3 installers assigned by installation management. A major aspect of this position is to ensure the highest standards of quality and service. Company vehicle and gas card offered.
Job Summary:
Install, troubleshoot, upgrade, modify, replace, and perform preventive maintenance on customer specific central office and headend telecommunication sites.

Job Summary:
Install, troubleshoot, upgrade, modify, replace, and perform preventive maintenance on customer specific central office and headend telecommunication sites.
Responsibilities:
- Experience in Central Office or Headend installation environment.
- Experience in DC Power installation, including batteries, rectifiers and equipment bays.
- Knowledge of BDFB’s, Power Plants, Iron Work, Ladder Rack & Stanchions.
- Knowledge of AT&T Installation Standards, MOPs, required.
- Run multiple cable types including coaxial, power, fiber, and network transmission.
- Ability to pull Signal and Power Cables, as necessary.
- Ability to crimp, lug, splice, terminate, stitch and lace cable to 750 MCM or Fiber.
- Ability to install all types of infrastructure in Cell Site and/or DC Power type environments.
- Ability to rack, stack and secure equipment bays/cabinets.
- Tests and evaluates systems to determine efficiency, reliability, and compatibility with existing system
- Complete detailed documents of work performed and provide daily status updates.
- Ability to serve as the installation in-charge person and point of contact.
- Minimum 3 years of experience working in a Central Office or Headend environment.
- Must be able to perform all the qualifications of a Level 1, 2, & 3 Installation Technician.
- Ability to read and understand technical drawings and blueprints.
- Familiar with Telecommunication TP-76300 /76400 / Telcordia GR1275 and Telecommunication IP72202 installation standards.
- Valid driver’s license and clean MVR required.
