CDL - OSP Ground Hand/General Labor- Evansville, IN
Evansville, IN · Telecommunications · $26 - $28 per hour DOETekCom Resources is seeking an CDL - OSP Ground Hand/General Laborer for a full-time, permanent-hire role with our telecom construction client in Evansville, Indiana!
As an CDL - OSP Ground Hand/General Laborer, you will operate a company vehicle, perform manual work including digging holes for placement of buried cable and assist directional drillers in setting up equipment. This work is focused on mostly rural construction, so your work will take you up to 2 hours outside of Evansville, but overnight travel is not a typical part of this role. You will have access to a company vehicle when driving to and from sites. This is an entry level role and will serve as a great way to learn OSP directional drilling and grow with a great company.
Your duties will include:
• Assist with location and verification of utilities prior to work.
• Participate in the maintenance of an organized warehouse and "yard."
• Driving company vehicle to and from work sites
• Assist drillers with their tools while construction work is being done
Our client would like to see this experience in your background:
• At least 1-2 years of underground construction experience; utilities construction experience unrelated to telecom, such as gas, power and water line installation, is relevant and welcome for this role!
• CDL licensure required for this role as well as a clean MVR and background
