TekCom Resources is seeking a GIS Coordinator to work with a fast-growing telecom construction firm in the St. Louis, MO market! This is an in office role for an upcoming project estimated to start mid to late February.


The GIS Coordinator will perform tasks using program such as ArcGIS and related programs to support the reliable operation of the Engineering, Construction and inspection teams. Project coordination, create, integrate and maintain interactive GIS applications, layers and customer databases. 

Job Duties:
- Maintain multiple GIS databases and execute related changes 
- Support and manage GIS applications 
- Provide technical guidance to GIS users
- Develop, update and improve the GIS layers, make modifications as needed
- Create customized mapping processes to automate map production 
- Assist in designing, developing and implementing workflows
- Assist with GIS field collection processes 
- Participate in GIS coordination with other departments and local agencies in data layer sharing
- Development of standardized products and procedures
- Stay up-to-date with the latest developments in GIS field

Requirements: 
- 2+ years of experience with GIS within the ESRI desktop GIS applications (ArcMap, ArcGIS Pro)
- Experience with spatial analysis and geoprocessing tools 
- Experience with GIS data collection and GPS accuracy standards
- Problem solving skills and ability to think analytically 
- Ability to effectively communicate 
- Ability to organize projects, establish priorities, meet deadlines and follow up on assignments
