Small Cell / Fiber Construction Manager

Georgia: Atlanta(Metro Area), Savannah Area, GA · Telecommunications · $36 - $38/hr. DoE
TekCom Resources is recruiting for a Small Cell / Fiber Construction Manager for an industry leading client in Georgia: Atlanta(Metro Area) or Savannah Area. This is a long-term contract role. This CM role is managing both Small Cell / Fiber Construction.
Pay Rate: $36 - $38/hr. DOE.

You’ll be responsible for all small cell and fiber deployment for the project(s) including, but not limited to, perform site design visits, order power with Utility company, perform node outages, complete materials procurement, review/approve drawings, request GC purchase request, control project budget and change orders, accurately complete project tasks, conduct weekly team meetings, issue contractor COP, etc.

Role:
Oversee, inspect, and monitor contractual field work which includes excavations, boring, placement on hand holes, aerial strand and fiber cable installation, and restoration of work areas.

Schedule work and inspection phases with contractors' superintendent and agency personnel.
Advise contractors of violations and recommend adjustments to operations.
Take field measurements to verify contractor billing; check placement of and perform quality reviews of construction.
Recommend changes to construction plans to meet field conditions or provide project cost savings.
Maintain project records which include daily diaries, materials notebooks, as-built plans, and pay quantity records.
Evaluate and monitor progress schedules, prepare work orders, and monthly estimates.
Provide on-site support as necessary during major outages or sensitive network impacts to provide supervision and oversight of internal and external resources.
Strand mapping.
Conduct make-ready ride-outs with other utilities, Post-construction rides with other utilities.

What will catch our eye:
Must have Small Cell deployment and Fiber Construction Experience
Be able to conduct independent project design assessments and actualize tasks to completion, upload documents for teams to review, provide updated construction progress, including accurate and organized daily reports. Perform site visits, take necessary small cell and fiber photos, complete quality control/safety standards and regulations.
Must understand small cell and fiber installation (underground and aerial), including splicing and testing specifications, and ability to read and understand blueprints/construction drawings.
