Construction Manager - Fiber
Remote must reside in Auburn, Dothan, Troy, or Enterprise, Alabama · Telecommunications · $38-$41ph DOEAre you a seasoned Fiber Construction professional with a passion for driving quality and efficiency in the field? TekCom Resources is seeking a Network Construction Manager to support a leading telecom infrastructure provider. This remote role is ideal for candidates located in Auburn, Dothan, Troy, or Enterprise, Alabama, who are experienced in managing OSP and ISP fiber projects from inspection through completion. If you thrive in a fast-paced environment, have a deep understanding of aerial and underground fiber installations, and enjoy coordinating with vendors and permitting agencies, we want to hear from you. Must have fiber construction experience.

Key Responsibilities
- Monitor work of contractors and vendors for quality control and contract compliance on moderate-complexity fiber projects.
- Collaborate closely with Fiber Engineers and Field Operations teams.
- Conduct constructability reviews aligned with project specifications.
- Develop bid packages and oversee competitive subcontractor bidding.
- Manage the development and submission of permit and construction plans.
- Track and coordinate the delivery of third-party materials.
- Oversee site construction to ensure adherence to schedule, budget, and quality.
- Coordinate permitting and licensing with local and state agencies.
- Provide regular status updates to internal leadership and client stakeholders.
- Maintain accurate project tracking records.
- Serve as a safety observer and quality assurance representative onsite.
- Evaluate and negotiate vendor rates to ensure competitive pricing and cost control.
- Resolve onsite issues proactively to ensure project integrity and timely delivery.
- Must reside in Alabama (Auburn, Dothan, Troy, or Enterprise)
- Work Environment: Remote role with frequent travel to construction sites.
- Minimum 3+ years of hands-on Fiber Construction experience (not tower).
- Proven ability to conduct independent site inspections for OSP/ISP construction, including aerial, underground, small cell nodes, and customer building facilities.
- Strong knowledge of local and state permitting, and pole/conduit licensing processes.
- Capable of managing multiple simultaneous fiber projects effectively.
- Proficient understanding of fiber installation practices (aerial & underground), splicing, testing specifications, and blueprint/construction drawing interpretation.
