Construction Inspector
Houston, TX · Telecommunications · $35-$38ph DOEWe’re seeking a detail-oriented and field-experienced Construction Inspector to support our client and ensure quality assurance across telecom infrastructure projects. This role plays a critical part in monitoring contractor work, verifying compliance with safety standards and construction plans, and ensuring that all installations meet performance and regulatory expectations. The ideal candidate is comfortable both in the field and the office, supporting Project Managers and Construction Managers in driving project success from start to finish.

Key Responsibilities
- Oversee and inspect contractor fieldwork, including trenching, boring, hand hole placements, aerial strand and fiber installations, and restoration efforts.
- Coordinate inspection phases with contractors, superintendents, and agency personnel.
- Monitor and enforce compliance with state-regulated safety procedures.
- Measure field elements (e.g., trench depths, restoration areas) to verify contractor billing against as-builts.
- Perform quality control checks on construction work and ensure adherence to project standards and clearances.
- Recommend field-based plan changes to optimize construction or reduce costs.
- Maintain comprehensive project records, including daily diaries, as-builts, materials logs, and quantity tracking.
- Support project scheduling, estimate preparation, and work order generation.
- Upload documentation, track task advancement, and attend 3rd-party site walks.
- Review of A&E (architecture and engineering) deliverables such as drawings and structural reports.
- Assist in material release coordination and contribute to bid processes.
- Advance PMT (Project Management Tracker) tasks and perform administrative duties as needed.
- High School Diploma or equivalent required; a two-year technical degree is preferred.
- Minimum of 2+ years of construction inspection or related field experience.
- Valid driver’s license required (DMV Check Required)
- Must be able to travel frequently to project sites (approximately 90% field-based).
