Aerial Linemen

Our client a broadband contracting company specializing in the construction, maintenance, and technical support of Coax and Fiber Optic networks is seeking Aerial Linemen and Construction Technicians. For over 30 years, they have provided exceptional service to the telecommunications industry, handling everything from network upgrades and fiber integration to outside and inside plant construction.


Key Responsibilities

  • Perform aerial utility pole line construction and coaxial splicing safely and efficiently.
  • Maintain and rebuild coax/fiber systems using specialized equipment.
  • Execute pole transfers, set anchors, and rearrange attachments to meet clearance requirements.
  • Follow OSHA and industry safety standards at all times.
  • Work in high-traffic conditions, including traffic control and safety setup.
  • Ensure work meets company quality standards for neatness and professionalism.
  • Collaborate effectively on crews of 3–5 people or work independently.
  • Respond to emergency situations, including storm damage and network outages.
Position Requirements
  • Ability to lift over 75 lbs. and work in all outdoor weather conditions.
  • Comfortable working at heights over 18’ (ladders, aerial lifts, bucket trucks).
  • Willingness to learn utility pole climbing if required.
  • Ability to work in confined spaces and around electrical hazards.
  • Valid driver’s license with clean driving record.
  • Ability to read blueprints, design prints, and SOWs.
  • Pass pre-employment background check, drug screening, and E-Verify.
  • Willingness to work nights (12–6 am), weekends, and on-call shifts as needed.
  • General broadband or telecom knowledge preferred.

Key Skills
Strong background in aerial utility pole construction, coax and fiber splicing, broadband network upgrades and maintenance, and outside plant construction. Skilled in pole transfers, anchor setting, attachment rearrangement, and interpreting blueprints, design prints, and SOWs. Experienced with aerial lifts, bucket trucks, climbing equipment, and confined space work, with strict adherence to OSHA and industry safety standards. Proven ability to respond to emergencies such as storm damage and outages, while working effectively both independently and as part of a crew. Physically capable of lifting 75+ lbs, comfortable working at heights and in outdoor conditions, and backed by a valid driver’s license with a clean record.
