Telecom Construction Manager – Fiber
Buford, GA · Telecommunications · 95k-110k DOEWe are seeking an experienced Telecom Construction Manager to oversee and manage wireline/fiber build projects from inception to completion. This role requires a strong background in outside plant (OSP) construction, the ability to lead multiple crews, and the expertise to ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and in compliance with safety and quality standards. Must have fiber experience.

Key Responsibilities:
- Manage day-to-day activities of wireline construction projects, including underground and aerial fiber builds.
- Coordinate with engineering, permitting, and operations teams to ensure timely project starts and completions.
- Oversee contractor and in-house crews, ensuring adherence to project scope, quality standards, and safety guidelines.
- Conduct regular site visits to monitor progress, resolve field issues, and ensure compliance with specifications.
- Track project schedules, costs, and resource allocation to meet performance goals.
- Review and approve construction drawings, as-builts, and redlines.
- Serve as the main point of contact for stakeholders, providing updates and managing expectations.
- Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.
- Troubleshoot and escalate issues that could impact delivery timelines.
- 5+ years of experience in telecom construction management with a focus on wireline/OSP fiber builds.
- Strong understanding of underground and aerial construction methods, materials, and industry standards.
- Proven track record of managing multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting construction prints, maps, and specifications.
- Knowledge of permitting processes and utility coordination.
- Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
- Proficient with project management tools and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Valid driver’s license and ability to travel to project sites as needed.
