Ciena - Tier 2 Technical Support Engineer
We are currently recruiting for a Ciena - Tier 2 Technical Support Engineer in Richardson TX) for full-time role with one of our clients.
The Technical Support Engineer that will provide high level support (Tier 2.0/2.5) to our client’s customers.
In this role, you will troubleshoot and resolve problems to recover and restore the customer networks. You will trouble shoot different nodes and solutions in live customer networks, and the focus will be on transport networks deployed with Ciena products.
You should have solid restoration and remote set-up experience.
This role is typically M-F position with a 7/24 on call rotation typically every 4-5 weeks

  
Key Skills:
Ciena products Ex. 5410 ,5430, CPL, OME6130, OME6150, OME6500, Transport Network Hierarchy, Optical Network interfaces, Remote troubleshooting and recovery, Fiber Multi Point Optical Connector/Multi Terminal Unit, Working knowledge of SONET ring, DWDM and WDM fiber systems, SIP, SS7, IP, Troubleshooting skills to support all transmission levels, DS1 – OC192 including Ethernet.
