RF DAS Engineer (New England)

RF DAS Engineer

One of our national telco customers has engaged us to help find a DAS RF Engineer for a 6 - 12 month contract opportunity based on the outskirts of Boston.

Responsibilities will include creating DAS/Small Cell RF Designs and proposals, design and engineer small cell solutions, facilitate implementation, conduct field measurements, perform system optimization, create link budgets & manage customer relationships. Additionally you should also be able to demonstrate a clear understanding of propagation fundamentals, antenna theory, optical transmission, be familiar with RF prediction tools & have a thorough knowledge of UMTS, LTE & 5G wireless technologies. Candidates must have at least 3 years recent DAS and/or Small Cell RF Design experience within a wireless carrier, OEM and/or a turn-key company & have experience of conducting DAS RF Solution Designs for venues, stadiums, arenas, airports, subway stations, malls, etc. This will be a fully remote position (though you MUST be based in the MA area or within a 2 hour commute from Boston max) as there will be the requirement for weekly site visits.

Key Skills/Requirements:

  • RF DAS Design and optimization
  • MUST have iBwave design experience
  • Indoor DAS (iDAS), RF propagation principles, cellular theory, RF engineering tools and antenna theory
  • DAS vendor certification is a plus
  • Must have at least 5 years of RF design and 2+ plus years hands-on iBwave design experience
  • Must have Bachelor's Degree in Electrical/Electronics Engineering, Telecommunications, or a related field
