CAD Drafters - Overland Park KS
Overland Park, KS · Telecommunications · $20-$33 per hour DOETekCom Resources is seeking several CAD Drafters for contract-to-hire roles with a growing engineering firm in the Kansas City area!
The ideal candidate will utilize Computer Aided Design (CAD) and mapping systems to prepare design drawings for the project team as it relates to large scale telecommunications deployments and assisting with drawings relating to rooms, buildings, and structures from data, prints, and photos.
Pay depends on experience and our client is offering roles from entry-level through lead.

Daily Duties:
- Prepares detailed drawings of elementary mechanical and electronic components as well as other engineering change orders.
- Draws from sketches, the building floor plans, determining size, spacing and arrangement of equipment for network racks and cabinets based off of data or photos.
- Draws fiber and copper cable route drawings, manhole/handhole diagrams.
- Verifies completed work and checks dimensions, materials to be used, and quantities.
Key Skills Required:
- At least 1 year of related work experience in telecommunication network design.
- Experience and proficiency with computer aided design software, particularly AutoCAD
- Must possess a high proficiency with office production software such as Microsoft Office (Word and Excel)
